Postcard from Poprad, last four bits

The Final Teletext service I Edited

It started life on SuperChannel, as you'll see on this Blog, and lasted for over 10 years. At one time the longest running service on satellite, so some claimed. Well this was the last edition

For anyone thinking of going into journalism, which is a great thing to do, working on teletext is to say the least interesting. We had to fir an entire story into 16 lines and 38 keystrokes per line, including spaces and puntuation.

Mind you being dyslexic, like yours truly, shouldn't put you off either - some greats have managed so why not us?

If you click on the image it'll increase in size. I wonder why we use the words Blow Up when we mean increase? I mean what is the point of exploding the picture, you wouldn't be able to read it then!
Mind you I can see the point for blowing up stuff from Picaso and that dire thing the Monalisa, or was that moaning lisa
